Sky Watch Friday

It was a lovely early evening in Greenfield, Massachusetts, around 3:30 yesterday, November 18, when I took these photos of a beautiful part of my commute to and from work. A few miles from here, it isn't so pastoral, with plenty of traffic mediated by traffic lights and a Wal Green on the corner.  But this is a slice of paradise. And if you head northwest via the back roads, there are plenty of things to see in daylight and sometimes things to avoid at night, such as deer. I love where I live. And I am grateful every day for it.

Bertrand-Jean Redon, better known as Odilon Redon (April 20, 1840 – July 6, 1916) was a French Symbolist painter, printmaker, draughtsman and pastellist.

"A title is justified only when it is vague and even aims confusedly at the elliptical. My drawings inspire, and are not to be defined. They determine nothing. They place us, as does music, in the ambiguous realm of the undetermined. They are a kind of metaphor..."
